Ahhhh… just catching up! Our approach is quite similar to yours, but it sounds like you execute better than we do. I like the “make it right” idea, too – I’ve been requiring the apology and been unsatisfied with it, but think Asparagus might be getting old enough for something else.

Also, Lily! What a beautiful name. I know that Downs isn’t all sunshine and roses, but considering some of the things that it sounded like had been on the table before, that sounds like a blessed diagnosis. I pray that it turns out to be a mild form, as well.

Also, you have just inspired me to make split pea soup for dinner. Yummmmmmm…
